Spirits were high inside the VFW, with a corn hole tournament, cake walk and other activities kept guests of all ages entertained. “My favorite part is I love fireworks, and I love being here, and I love getting prizes,” five-year-old Emilia said. For VFW Post Commander Leo Rivera, it signifies more than just celebrating the 4th of July, it’s about honoring those who protect the freedom being celebrated.
